May 2026 – Payroll Timesheet Integration with Wiise Project Module and GST Agent.

We've continued expanding Wiise with new integrations and AI-powered compliance tools.

Two new releases help project-based businesses get accurate labour costs into their projects without manual effort, and catch GST errors before they become BAS problems.

We've added a native integration from Wiise Payroll to the Wiise Project module, and introduced the Wiise GST Agent, an AI-powered validation engine built into Business Central's GST and BAS workflow.

Payroll Timesheet Integration – New Wiise Project module integration

To help you eliminate manual labour cost entry and reduce licensing overhead, we've introduced a native integration from Wiise Payroll to the Wiise Project module.

Previously, customers using Wiise Payroll for timesheets had no direct way to feed that time into the Wiise Project module leaving them re-keying data each week, or buying Team Member licenses for employees who only log hours.

What you can now do:

  • Flow timesheets approved in Employment Hero automatically into the Job Journal, mapped to the correct project, task, and cost account
  • Skip additional Team Member licenses for employees who only log hours
  • Choose to bring in fully burdened payroll cost, estimated cost, or hours only
  • Trace every entry back to the original payroll record

What this means for you: project managers see up-to-date labour costs the moment they open a project, finance teams stop re-keying data, and there's no separate timesheet system or custom integration to maintain. Especially valuable for construction, trades, and professional services managing multiple active jobs at once.

What you need to do: existing users will need to update to the latest version to access it.

Wiise GST Agent – New AI compliance agent

To help you catch GST errors at the source rather than weeks later at BAS time, we've introduced the Wiise GST Agent, an AI-powered validation engine built directly into Business Central's GST and BAS workflow.

Previously, GST errors, wrong codes, missing classifications, non-creditable items treated as creditable, were typically only caught weeks later at BAS time. After a single miscoded recurring transaction had already created dozens of errors.

What you can now do:

  • Validate every transaction against GST rules in the background as it's posted
  • Flag issues with a plain-language explanation of what's wrong and why it matters accessible to non-accountant staff
  • Accept or dismiss the suggested fix, with the agent learning from every correction over time
  • Review a categorised issue dashboard at BAS time showing exactly what needs review before lodgement

What this means for you: errors are fixed at the point of entry, not discovered in bulk at quarter-end collapsing BAS preparation from days to hours, reducing ATO compliance risk, and freeing accountants for higher-value work. Especially valuable for accountants, bookkeepers, and finance teams where non-accountant staff handle day-to-day posting.

What you need to do: The Wiise GST Agent is available as part of a limited BETA program. For questions or to join the BETA program, please contact support@wiise.com.
