About Wiise GST Agent
What is the Wiise GST Agent?
The Wiise GST Agent checks your transactions for GST issues as you post them, so errors get caught at the source instead of piling up undetected until BAS time.
Joining the beta
The Wiise GST Agent is available as part of a limited beta program. To join the beta or ask a question, contact support@wiise.com.
Note: Features and behaviour may change during the beta. This article will be updated as the GST Agent develops.
Why this matters?
GST errors like wrong tax codes, missing classifications, or non-creditable items treated as creditable often go unnoticed until you prepare your BAS weeks later. The GST Agent flags these issues as you work, which reduces your ATO compliance risk and cuts the time you spend fixing errors at quarter-end.
How it works?
When you post a transaction, the GST Agent checks it in the background against GST rules. If it finds an issue, a notification appears on the Wiise GST Agent Insights panel on your Wiise landing page.
You can accept the suggested fix or dismiss it.
Note: The GST Agent flags issues for you to review. It doesn't change or post transactions on your behalf and you stay in control of every correction.
Who it's for?
The GST Agent is built for accountants, bookkeepers, and finance teams who manage GST compliance. It's especially useful in businesses where staff who aren't accountants handle day-to-day transaction posting.
