Why do we manage inventory at multiple locations? 

As a business that has multiple warehouses, it is important to ensure that your inventory reflects accurately in Wiise for all your locations. An accurate inventory across all locations will reduce stockouts and overstocking.

Your business can meet customer demand more effectively while maintaining accurate and up-to-date inventory records. 

How to manage inventory at multiple locations? 

1. Set up multiple locations 
   1. You’ll need to define the multiple locations and configure your location settings. Each location can represent a warehouse, store, or other physical site where your inventory is stored.  
      
      Note: Setting up multiple locations helps segregate inventory for better management, allowing you to track stock independently at each location. 
2. Assign items to locations
   1. Create Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) for each item assigned to a specific location. This helps you manage detailed inventory levels, costs, and stock movements for each location. 
3. Track and replenish inventory across locations 
   1. Run the Requisition Worksheet: 
      1. Filter by location and calculate the plan to recommend replenishment quantities based on reorder points, demand, and stock levels at each location.
      2. Review the suggestions and carry out the action message to create the necessary purchase or transfer orders. 
4. Manage inventory transfers between locations  
   1. Create a new transfer order to track and manage the movement of goods between locations.
   2. Post the transfer to update inventory levels and monitor the status of transfers.  
5. Stay on top of your inventory across locations  
   1. Generate location-based reports to help maintain stock levels and identify inventory issues across locations: 
      1. Inventory valuation report: View the value of inventory by location. 
      2. Item ledger entries report: Track inventory transactions by location. 
      3. Stock availability report: Review the stock levels available at each location. 
6. Process sales or purchase orders 
   1. Assign specific locations to ensure stock is allocated to the correct physical site.  
      1. Sales Orders: Assign a shipping location so items are shipped from the right location.  
      2. Purchase Orders: Assign a receiving location so that items are received into the correct physical location.
