Set up assembly order in Wiise

Overview:

  • Learn setup options for assembly orders in Wiise

    Why set up assembly order?

Assembly orders are set up to streamline and manage the process of assembling components into the finished product. Tracking assembly orders ensures accurate inventory and efficient production.

Note: An assemble to order process involves generating an assembly order when a sales order is placed.

Note: An assemble to stock process involves assembling items in advance based on forecasted demand, storing them as inventory until needed for sales. You’d create an assembly order manually for an assemble to stock process.

Note: In the Wiise ERP desktop, you can indicate on the Locations card whether Assembly Consumption Warehouse Handling should be treated as an Inventory Movement or a Warehouse Pick. Additionally, update the Assembly Policy in the Replenishment section of the Item Card to select between assemble-to-order and assemble-to-stock.
