Set up a sales return order for a location with require pick and put-away enabled

Why set up a sales return order on location? 

Setting up a sales return order with a location helps manage returned items efficiently, ensuring accurate stock levels. It also reduces errors during the return and restocking process. 

How to create a sales return order for a location with Require Put-away option enabled? 

  1. Complete steps 1 to 4 in how to set up your sales return order. Then, return here to complete the inventory put-away option enabled.  
  2. You’ve now reviewed the sales return order and can update the inventory put away.  

    Note: You update the inventory put away in the sales return order so that when items are returned, the inventory levels are adjusted to reflect the returned stock. This allows Wiise to adjust financial records, reflecting the decrease in sales and updating your customer’s balance. 
  3. Select Actions. Then select Warehouse. From the drop-down select Create Inventory Put-away/Pick.

  4. The Create Inventory Put-away/Pick/Movement request page displays.

    1. Enable the Create Invt. Put-Away toggle.  
    2. Select OK to continue. Inventory put-away lines are generated.  
  5. Then, select Related. Select Warehouse. From the drop-down menu, select Invt. Put-away/Pick Lines.

    1. Highlight the related row and select Show Document. The inventory put away page displays.

      1. Manually update the Qty., to Handle field, once you’ve received confirmation from your warehouse worker. 

        Note: You can select the Autofill Qty. To Handle if the Qty. To Handle field matches the Quantity field.  
      2. Select Post. A message box displays to confirm if you want to Receive or Receive and Invoice.  
      3. Select a relevant option and select OK.

    Note: The item lines in the Lines section are updated to display that the Return Qty to Receive field and Qty to Invoice field is updated. 

    Note: Return to your sales return order and select Post to post the return order into a sales CR/Adj note.  
  7. You’ve created a sales return order with a location. 

Note: When you set up your sales return order, you can apply the related customer sales documents via Copy Documents or Get Posted Document Lines to Reverse the original order to update your Lines section. Otherwise, you can manually update the Lines section.
