Why add a guest user in Microsoft Entra admin centre?
Adding a guest user in Microsoft Entra ID lets external users, like accountants, consultants, auditors, and business partners to securely access your organisation’s resources. This ensures controlled access while maintaining security and compliance.
How to add a guest user in Microsoft Entra admin centre?
- Open a new browser window on your desktop. Then, select the link to open your Microsoft Entra account.
- Enter your M365 username and password to access the Microsoft Entra admin centre.
- Select Users on the left side panel menu.
- Then, select All Users.
- Select the +New user drop-down menu.
- Then, select Invite external user.
- On the page that displays, update the required user details. Then, review and send an invite to the guest user.
Note: The administrator will need to assign a Wiise user license to that user account, such as the Dynamics 365 Business Central External Accountant license. This enables the user to log into Wiise using their new credentials.
Note: If the guest user does not receive an automatic email, the administrator can provide their username and password manually. - You've added a guest user in the Microsoft Entra admin centre.
Note: Find out how to purchase a Wiise license if there are no available licenses for your administrator to assign in the M365 admin centre.
Note: Once you've assigned a user a Wiise license in the M365 admin centre, you'll need to sync the assigned user to Wiise.
