Why Set Up Approval Users?
Approvers can manage transactions, ensuring control and compliance. You can set approval limits and define the approval hierarchy to streamline processes and prevent unauthorised approvals.
Note: Users need to be set up in Wiise, before you can set up the approval users.
Note: You must have the necessary permissions in Wiise to set up approval users.
How to Set Up Approval Users?
- Search for Approval User Setup on the top right-hand corner of the page. Select the related link.
- The Approval User Setup page displays.
- Select +New to add a new approval user.
- Fill in the required fields:
- User ID: Select the user who will be involved in approvals
- Approver ID: Select the approve will be involved in approving the user’s approver’s request.
- Sales Amount Approval Limit: Define the maximum amount the user can approve for sales documents
- Unlimited Sales Approval: Select the checkbox if the user is allowed to approve unlimited amounts for sales documents.
- Purchase Amount Approval Limit: Define the maximum amount this user can approve for purchase documents.
- Unlimited Purchase Approval: Select the checkbox if the user is allowed to approve unlimited amounts for purchase documents.
- Request Amount Approver Limit: Define the maximum amount the user is allowed to approve directly from the request amount they make.
- Unlimited Request Approval: The user can approve all purchase quotes regardless of their request amount.
- Purchase Request Approval: The user is allowed to approve Wiise purchase approvals.
- Email: Fill in the user’s email address. You can set up notification preferences for approval requests via email.
- Approval Administrator: The user can manage approval workflows, including delegate approvals and remove overdue requests.
- You’ve defined and set up approval users in your business.
Note: Use the Approval User Setup Test in Approvals User Setup to test if approvers are set up correctly.
Note: It’s best practice to have a documented delegation of authority policy set up that defines how authority is delegated within your business.
