Set up an item journal template

- Learn how to set up an item journal template.
Why set up an item journal template?
Multiple templates can be set up and users can use different templates to do their work.
How to set up an item journal template?
- Search for Item Journal Templates on the top right-hand corner of the page. Select the related link. The page displays.
- The item journal template is set up by name, description, type, and whether it is recurring or not against number series.
- Select New to create a new item journal template. A new row is created. Fill in the necessary fields
- Name: Enter a name for the template.
- Description: Provide a brief description of the template.
- Type: Select the type of journal. You can select types such as Item, Capacity, Consumption, Phys. Inventory, Transfer, Revaluation, Output or Prod. Order.
- Enable the Recurring box if the item journal template will be a recurring journal.
- No Series: Assign a number series to the journal template for the automatic numbering of journal entries.
Note: You can set up batch names for the item journal template if you want to have predefined batches for specific types of transactions. - Your item journal template has been set up. You can use this item journal template when you set up item journals.
