Multi-Entity Management Helper

Overview:

  • Learn how to get started on the Multi-Entity Management (MEM) helper

What is the MEM helper?

MEM helper is an extension that is designed to make MEM compatible with specific Wiise functionality.

Note: MEM helper is available for both Wiise Australia 2.0 and Wiise New Zealand customers on partner request.

Considerations for Installing MEM

  • Installing Multi-Entity Management for Microsoft Dynamics requires considerable configuration of your Wiise environment. Please contact your implementation partner to assess this scope of work.
  • MEM must be installed in Business Central environments before installing the Wiise extension.
  • The Wiise Company Setup wizard cannot be run in Wiise tenants that MEM installed.

Why install the MEM helper?

It allows MEM to be compatible with Wiise functionality such as:

  1. Wiise Standard Reports
    1. Some Wiise reports have been updated to work with the MEM product. This allows filtering by global dimension and limits user access to entities they don't have permission to view. For details on which Wiise reports are compatible with MEM, check the MEM release article here
  2. Wiise Payroll
    1. A user with Payroll Officer permissions in an assigned role can:
    2. View the Wiise Timesheet Insights and Wiise Pay Runs Insights widgets
    3. Perform pay runs for any MEM entity
    4. Access payroll information and timesheets across all MEM entities.
  3. Wiise Bank feeds
    1. A user with Banking Officer permissions in an assigned role can:
    2. View the Wiise Bank Feeds widget
    3. Create, delete, and view feeds
    4. Refresh bank feeds
    5. Perform bank reconciliations
    6. Access bank feeds across all MEM entities.

How do I get started?

  1. Contact support@wiise.com to install the MEM helper in your customer environment.
  2. Users need to be allocated new permissions starting with the prefix BSSI in the permission sets.
  3. Users can be set up as a MEM administrator who will have access to all MEM dimensions.
  4. Users who do not require all access must not be provided with the administrator role.
  5. Install the MEM apps from the Microsoft app source and configure it.

Note: Wiise and Wiise Payroll customers may experience issue with leave accrual journals. We're working quickly to fix this issue.

Note: MEM helper limits Wiise functionality to Wiise features compatible with Wiise. MEM helper should not be installed into environments not using MEM.
