Manage Awards

Overview:  

  • Learn how to manage awards in Wiise Payroll 

Why manage awards? 

You can search for and install your chosen award onto the Wiise payroll platform. You can manage your installed awards, including applying updates, uninstalling awards when no longer needed, and unlocke the data to customize the rule sets. 

Note: Wiise Payroll has over 45 modern awards built into payroll to make award interpretation easy. Manage awards can be seen on your Wiise Payroll Premium plan.

If you can’t see manage awards and require a Wiise Payroll Premium plan, please reach out to Wiise Support to get upgraded. 

How to manage awards? 

Manage your awards by:  

  • Installing an award 
  • Applying award updates 
  • Re-installing an award 
  • Uninstalling an award 
  • Locking award rule 
  • Unlocking award rules  

Install an award 

Here are the steps to install an award: 

  1. On your Wiise payroll dashboard or homepage, select Payroll Settings. Then, select Manage Awards in Pay Conditions.  
  2. Search for your required award and classification on the top right-hand corner of the page.

    1. Select the Find an Award field and search for your award.  

      Note: You can select options to show All, Installed, Available and Unavailable awards.  
    2. Then, select Install to install your selected award package.   
  3. Review the terms and conditions. Select Accept to continue.

  4. When your award and classification is installed, you’ll see it on your employment agreements.

  5. You’ve now installed an award.  

Note: A warning message appears in the Action Items on your Wiise Payroll dashboard when an award update needs to be applied. 

Update awards 

Here are the steps to update awards:  

  1. On your Wiise payroll dashboard, select Payroll Settings. Then under Pay Conditions, select Manage Awards.  
  2. Select the Actions drop-down menu against the award you’re managing.  

    Note: You can re-install, uninstall or unlock rules. If there are updates to apply, the apply updates button is made available.

  3. Select Re-install. Confirm with a Yes or No on whether you want to update rule sets, update pay rates, re-apply leave allowance templates to linked employees and preserve custom rule set period.

  4. Select Install when you’re done.  

Note: By default, award rules are locked in all installed awards.  

Note: To customise the award rules, use the unlock feature. If you lock the rule set after making any changes, it will reset to the default settings and erase your customisations.
