Install Wiise App Updates

Overview:

  • Ensure your customer's environment is running the most current version of Wiise apps

Note: If your access to the Wiise environment is restricted, someone in your organisation with access to the admin center, with at least a Dynamics 365 Administrator or a Dynamics 365 Business Central Administrator, must manually install Wiise updates. This ensures you can take advantage of new features, bug fixes, and improvements.

Why Install Wiise App Updates?

Installing Wiise app updates ensures your system has the latest features, performance improvements, and security enhancements. It also maintains compatibility with new integrations and support services.

Note: We recommend installing Wiise app updates as part of your regular monthly system maintenance.

Testing and Deployment Guidance

Major Updates: For updates that introduce significant functional changes or platform dependencies, we recommend installing the update in your Sandbox environment first. Test your key processes and integrations, then apply the update to Production once validated.

Minor Updates: For routine feature enhancements and low impact updates, the apps can technically be installed directly into Production.

However, organisations with formal change control policies may still choose to validate updates in Sandbox first.

Refer to the Major and Minor Updates article.
