How to manage warehouse tasks with Wiise Warehouse OnTime

To help you better manage your warehouse operations whilst using OnTime, we've now added a new task management feature to the Wiise Desktop app.

The new task management feature allows warehouse managers and team leaders to:

  • View new and assigned tasks
  • Track the progress of orders
  • Remove task assignments, and
  • Keep track of who has performed each task

This ensures that no tasks are missed, issues are resolved quickly and operations run smoothly. 

How to enable the Task Management feature

To get started using Task Management you will need to update the task list for any tasks that are already in progress.

1. Open the Wiise Business Central desktop app and select the Search icon

2. Type 'OnTime Tasks' and select the Wiise Warehouse OnTime page from the search results

3. Select the Mobile Setup menu and select Update Task List

4. Select Yes when prompted 'Are you sure you want to update the Wiise Warehouse OnTime tasks?'

5. You will see a summary of the tasks that have been created. Select OK to close this popup.

6. Congratulations! The Wiise Warehouse OnTime Task Management feature is now ready to use.

How to view new and assigned tasks

Open the Wiise Warehouse OnTime Tasks page to view new and assigned tasks.

1. Open the Wiise Business Central desktop app and select the Search icon

2. Type 'OnTime Tasks' and select the Wiise Warehouse OnTime Tasks page from the search results

3. The page is filtered to display all New and In Progress tasks, as well as tasks that have experienced a posting error from the mobile device

4. The following information is displayed on the page:
Task - The type of task (document) that has been created
Document No. - The identification number of the task (document)
Location - The location that the task will be completed at
Status - The current status of the task
User - The full name of the user that the task is assigned to
Created - The date and time the task was created
Assigned - The date and time the task was assigned
Completed - The date and time the task was completed

How to remove task assignments

1. Open the Wiise Business Central desktop app and select the Search icon

2. Type 'OnTime Tasks' and select the Wiise Warehouse OnTime Tasks page from the search results

3. Select the row or rows containing the tasks that you want to unassign and select Unassign from the action bar
