April 2026 – BAS ATO Integration and Microsoft Business Central Wave 1
We've continued expanding Wiise with a direct ATO integration for BAS lodgement and a broad set of Microsoft Business Central Wave 1 updates, including new AI agents and Copilot enhancements. These updates help finance teams automate high-volume tasks, reduce compliance risk, and complete end-to-end workflows without leaving the system.
Wiise BAS ATO Integration
BAS Lodgement — Direct ATO Integration
Lodging a Business Activity Statement previously required leaving Wiise entirely. Users would calculate their BAS inside Wiise, export the data to a file, log in to the ATO Business Portal, manually re-enter or upload their figures, wait for confirmation, then reconcile the response back into Wiise. Every quarter or month, this multi-step process introduced transcription errors, version confusion, and up to 60 minutes of unnecessary admin per entity.
To help you complete the entire BAS cycle without switching systems, we've introduced direct ATO integration inside Wiise. It connects to the ATO's Standard Business Reporting (SBR) Gateway, allowing users to retrieve, validate, and lodge BAS statements from within Wiise.
Once set up via the one-time "Connect to the ATO" assisted setup wizard, users can open the BAS ATO Lodgement List, view all outstanding obligations pulled directly from the ATO, drill into a lodgement to retrieve ATO-prefilled data, validate against ATO rules before submission, and lodge electronically with the receipt captured immediately. The lodgement list refreshes automatically each day via job queue no manual portal checks required.
This ensures bookkeepers, accountants, and finance teams managing GST, PAYG Withholding, PAYG Instalments, and FBT obligations can lodge faster, reduce errors, and maintain a full audit trail of every submission and ATO response all without leaving Wiise. Particularly valuable for multi-entity businesses where the time saving compounds across every lodgement cycle.
Note: BAS ATO Integration is currently available to a select group of Pilot customers. If you'd like to be considered for early access, contact us at support@wiise.com. This feature will become generally available to all Wiise customers in a future release.
Microsoft Business Central 2025 Wave 1

The following features are part of Microsoft's 2025 Release Wave 1 for Dynamics 365 Business Central (April–September 2025) and are available to all Wiise customers. For the full list of Microsoft updates, visit the Microsoft 2026 Release Wave 1 release notes.
Sales Order Agent
Sales teams and administrators managing high volumes of inbound orders often relied on manually reading emails, creating quotes, and converting them into orders, a process that was slow, repetitive, and dependent on individuals staying on top of their inbox.
To help you automate end-to-end sales order processing, we've introduced the Sales Order Agent. It monitors incoming emails for sales inquiries, matches senders to customers, checks inventory availability, and automatically generates quotes. When a quote is accepted, the agent converts it directly into a sales order using generative AI to review each action for accuracy.
Users can configure the agent directly within Business Central, connect it to a mailbox, and control which users can manage access. The agent runs autonomously and surfaces its activity in the Copilot task panel for review.
This provides sales administrators and operations teams with a faster, more consistent order intake process reducing manual effort, minimising missed inquiries, and keeping order flow moving without human intervention at every step.
Payables Agent
Accounts payable teams managing high invoice volumes often spent significant time on manual data entry, matching, and processing work that was repetitive, error-prone, and difficult to scale.
To help you reduce manual effort in payables processing, we've introduced the Payables Agent. It automates accounts payable workflows from invoice capture through to processing, reducing the need for manual intervention at each step.
This is especially valuable for AP teams and Finance Managers looking to increase throughput, reduce processing errors, and free up time for higher-value financial work.
Copilot Enhancements
Building on Microsoft's ongoing investment in AI across Business Central, this wave delivers a range of new Copilot capabilities designed to reduce manual effort across common finance and operations tasks.
Summarise with Copilot allows users to generate instant summaries of records and documents with a single click, reducing the time spent reading through transaction histories or lengthy entries.
Autofill Fields enables Copilot to suggest and populate field values based on context, helping speed up data entry and reduce keying errors across forms and journals.
Chat with Copilot allows users to ask questions and get in-app guidance on how to use Business Central and installed add-on apps without needing to leave the page or search external documentation.
Improved Purchase Order Matching enhances Copilot's ability to match purchase order lines accurately, reducing reconciliation effort at the point of invoice processing.
Sustainability Journal Suggestions allows Copilot to suggest gas emissions entries directly in sustainability journals, supporting organisations with ESG reporting obligations.
Peppol PINT A-NZ — Australia & New Zealand
To help you meet Australian and New Zealand e-invoicing compliance requirements, Business Central now supports the Peppol PINT A-NZ format for electronic documents. This ensures invoices generated and received in Wiise align with the format mandated for B2B and government transactions under the local Peppol framework.
This is especially valuable for organisations transacting with government entities or trading partners who require Peppol-compliant e-invoicing
