- Learn to raise a purchase return order
Why raise purchase return orders?
Raising a purchase return order helps you track returned items and ensures they are removed from your inventory. This process maintains the accuracy of ensuring that your supplier has issued you with credit for the returned goods.
How to raise a purchase return order?
- Search for Purchase Return Orders from the top right-hand corner of your page and select the related link.
- The purchase return order list displays. Select New to create a purchase return order.
Note: Depending on your role, you can also navigate to Purchasing from the Wiise landing page, then select Purchase Return Orders.
Note: Purchase return orders are used to send goods back to a vendor. When you post a purchase return order, it reduces your inventory, and once you receive a credit from your supplier, you can create a purchase credit memo to update vendor balances. - A new purchase return order card displays.
- Fill in the required fields for the sections, also known as fasttabs.

- Posting Date: Ensure this reflects the actual date the return will be processed.

Note: If your location is set up to Require Receive and Require Shipment, make sure you create, complete, and register the warehouse receipt and/or shipment before posting the purchase return order as a purchase credit memo.
