Why import employees in bulk?
Importing employees in bulk saves time and reduces the risk of errors when adding multiple employees to Wiise Payroll. Instead of entering each employee’s details manually, you can quickly upload all the information at once, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
Note: You can upload your employees using a CSV file, but we recommend using an Excel (.xlsx) file instead. The CSV format can cause some fields to show incorrect options, which doesn't happen with Excel files.
Note: To edit your employees pay slip notifications settings in bulk, update the data in the Pay Slip Notification Type column before uploading your employee data file.
How to import employees using an Excel file?
- On your Wiise Payroll Dashboard. Select the Employees tab. Then, from the green drop-down menu, select Import Employees.
Note: Before you can import employees in bulk, you’ll need a template to populate your data. Select Export Employees to download a template on your Employee tab. - The Import Employees page displays.
- Select the Standard Format File Upload option in the Import employees from the drop-down field.
- Then, select the + Select file button and select the template you’ve updated.
- Select Confirm upload.
Note: While attempting to import the employee data, you may need to address import errors. Once you’ve addressed all import errors, your employee's data is bulk updated into Wiise Payroll. - You’ve imported your employee data in bulk.
