How to split a line using Wiise Warehouse OnTime

Learn how to split a line on a pick or put away.

Why split an item in an order?

If the full quantity is not available from the bin that is assigned you can split the line so that the required quantity can be taken from or (placed in) two or more bins.

How to split a line in Wiise Warehouse OnTime

  1. On a pick or put away count screen, use the + and - buttons to update the picked quantity so that it matches the quantity that has been taken from the bin.

    You can also use the Max button to set the picked quantity to the required quantity and then use the - button to subtract the quantity that can not be picked.

  2. Select the Split button.

  3. You will be asked if you want to split the item. Select Split. This will complete this item and copy the balance to a new line.

  4. Select Next (or Confirm) to complete this item.

  5. Select the item containing the balance.

  6. If you need to change the bin, follow the steps here at How to change a bin using Wiise Warehouse OnTime.

  7. Repeat steps 1-6 until the remaining quantity can be taken from one bin.

  8. Congratulations! You have successfully split a line.

What happens in Wiise ERP Desktop after I split a line?

When you split a line while completing an item in pick and up away, a new line will be created on the document in Wiise ERP Desktop. Once you select Split and save or post the task, you will see the new line on the original document. This new line will have the split item quantity from the initial amount.
