How to report on overdue invoices

Why run an aged accounts receivable report?

You can use the aged accounts receivables report in Wiise to report on sales invoices that haven’t been paid by the customer. Running this report will show you what is and will be due, to help you with debt collection.

How to run an aged accounts receivable report

1. Log in to Wiise from your mobile, tablet or any browser.

2. Search for Aged Accounts Receivable and select Aged Accounts Receivable — Reports and Analysis. Or select Reports and then Aged Accounts Receivable.

3. In the pop-up box that opens, complete the Options like this:

  • Aged As of: this is the date from when you want to calculate the invoices are due. If the Aged As of date is the last day of the month, it compares that to the due date of the invoice to decide whether it’s due or not.
  • Ageing Byselect Due Date if you know the payment terms code that was selected on the invoice. Select the Posting Date if you want the due date calculation to start from when the invoice was actually completed.  Usually this is Due Date
  • Period Length: enter the period that will be shown in the report. For example, enter ‘1M’ for one month, ‘30D’ for thirty days, ‘3Q’ for three quarters or ‘2Y’ for two years. Usually this is 1M (1 month)
  • Print Amounts in LCY: This is only used if you have invoices posted in a foreign currency.  Usually, this is set to OFF.
  • Print Details: Select ON if you want to see the detailed entries of each customer balance.
  • Heading Type: Select if the heading for the periods will show a date interval or the number of days overdue.
  • New Page per Customer: this is where you select if each customer’s information is printed on a new page of the report.
  • In the Customer section, you can filter by a field on the customer record if you don’t want to run the report for all customers. You would usually leave this blank, so all customers are included.

4. Then to run the report, select Preview or Send To (PDF, Word or Excel Document).
