Bank Feed Troubleshooting

Overview

If you are having trouble setting up bank feeds or have successfully set up bank feeds into Wiise and you are no longer receiving bank transactions in Wiise then try the following steps to try and resolve the error.

If you have tried these steps and are not able to receive bank transactions in Wiise, contact your Wiise implementation partner for support.

Refresh bank transactions

Wiise Australia

Your bank transactions should refresh at 9.00 am AEST every morning. If your transactions have not been imported your Job Queue will show an error status. To import transactions manually:

  1. Go to the relevant bank feed.
  2. Select the Actions icon.
  3. Select Manual Bank Feeds Import. This will default to the last seven days' transactions.

Wiise New Zealand

Your bank transactions should overnight. If there has been a problem connecting to your bank, on your Wiise Bank Feed widget you will see a date other than today’s date.

  1. Go to the Wiise Bank Feed widget on your Role Centre.
  2. Select Refresh.
  3. On your Wiise Bank Feed widget, the date should now show as ‘Today’ and you will see ‘Reconcile X bank statements’.
  4. To check that bank transactions have been imported, go to the Bank Account Reconciliation window and check that the Bank Statement shows up-to-date information.

Check your bank feed job queue

Try checking your job queue to ensure that this ran as scheduled.

Check your permissions

To access Wiise Bank Feeds you will need to have one of the following roles in the relevant company in Wiise:

  • Business Manager
  • Business Manager Evaluation
  • Accountant

You will also need the Banking Officer permission. Your system administrator can allocate these to you.

Make sure you have access to your bank's Business Banking online account

Typically, the log in to business banking accounts is different .

Check to ensure that you have enabled your business banking online login and have the correct permissions to access this account.

Check your browser

If you're encountering difficulties seeing the Wiise Bank Feed widget or connecting your bank to Wiise, the issue may be related to the web browser you are using.

To rule out any browser-related problems, ensure that you are using a browser supported by Wiise:

  • Microsoft Edge
  • Google Chrome

If you are using another browser such as Firefox, then you should try opening Wiise in either Edge or Chrome.

Close other tabs

If you are trying to set up a bank account feed in two browser windows at the same time you may get an error. Close both window, open a new window and try again.

Refresh your page

  • In your browser, simply press the Refresh button or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + R (Windows) or Cmd + R (Mac).
  • This reloads the Wiise page and may trigger the system to fetch the latest bank feed data.

Check your internet connection

Ensure that your internet connection is stable, as poor connectivity can interrupt the bank feed update process.

Log out and back in

If refreshing the page does not work, try logging out of Wiise and logging back in to reset the connection to your bank feeds and refresh your page.
