Bank Feed Troubleshooting

Overview:

  • Learn to troubleshoot your bank feeds
  • Check your bank feed job queues
  • Check your user permissions

Note: If you are having trouble setting up bank feeds, or if you have successfully set up bank feeds in Wiise but are no longer receiving bank transactions, try the following steps to resolve the issue.

If you have tried these steps and are still unable to receive bank transactions in Wiise, contact your Wiise implementation partner for support.

Wiise Australia

Bank transaction feeds are updated each morning at 9 a.m. AEDT (Sydney time) with data from the previous day. There is a second check at 1 p.m. AEDT for any delayed data that missed the 9 a.m. AEDT feed, although it will be rare to see new transactions in this second feed.

If your transactions have not been imported, your Job Queue Entries page will show an error status.

Here's how to troubleshoot your bank feeds:

  • Check your bank feed Job Queue Entries and restart the bank feed
  • Manually import transactions

Note: Update your job queue to start at 9am or 1pm to auto-bring in 1 day of transactions.

Note: Usually, when an upgrade has been performed, have your administrator Test Azure API Connection in Wiise Azure Setup. If the connection shows as unauthorised, the administrator will need to Register Wiise

Wiise New Zealand

Your bank transactions should update overnight. If there is a problem connecting to your bank, your Wiise Bank Feed widget will display a date other than today’s date.

  1. Go to the Wiise Bank Feed widget on your Role Centre.
  2. Select Refresh.
  3. On your Wiise Bank Feed widget, the date should now show as ‘Today’ and you will see ‘Reconcile X bank statements’.
  4. To check that bank transactions have been imported, go to the Bank Account Reconciliation window and check that the Bank Statement shows up-to-date information.

1. Check your bank feed job queue

Note: When restarting the job queue for Import Bank Feeds, please ensure that the user who will restart has a Wiise full license and SUPER permissions.

This will mark the Scheduled field as ticked, allowing the job queue entry to run automatically as scheduled.

  1. Search for Job Queue Entries on the top right-hand corner of the page and select the related link. The page displays.

  2. You should see two jobs with the Object Caption to Run column set to Import Bank Feeds.
  3. If one or both show an Error status in the first column, select them from the list then select Set Status to Ready.

Note: After you've selected Set Status to Ready, the Earliest Start Date/Time field might revert to 24 hours later. To amend this, select the row you want to update. Select Set on Hold. Then, select Edit.
  4. The Job Queue Entry Card displays. You'll need to update the Time on the Earliest Start Date/Time field to match the Starting Time on the Recurrence section.

Note: Make sure the Status is On Hold when you make your changes. Then, Set Status to Ready. The bank feed is restarted.

The Object ID to Run is 16034604.

2. Manually import transactions

  1. Search for Bank Feed Entries on the top right-hand corner of the page, and select the related link. The page displays.

  2. Select the relevant bank feed that you want to manually import transactions for. Then, select the Manual Bank Feed Import action menu.
  3. The Import Bank Feeds prompt displays.

Note: The selection you see on the Date Filters defaults to the last seven days' transactions.
  4. Make your changes in the Include transactions from start of and Include transactions until end of which is the current date

Note: If you have any issues with manually importing your missing transactions, please reach out to your Wiise implementation partner or email Wiise Support for assistance.

3. Check your permissions

  1. To access Wiise Bank Feeds you will need to have one of the following roles in the relevant company in Wiise:
    1. Business Manager
    2. Business Manager Evaluation
    3. Accountant
  2. You will need the Banking Officer permission.

Note: Your system administrator or a user with SUPER access can allocate these permissions for you. The Banking Officer permission can be updated in User Setup.

4. Make sure you have access to your bank's Business Banking online account

Check to ensure that you have enabled your business banking online login and have the correct permissions to access this account.

5. Check your browser

If you're encountering difficulties seeing the Wiise Bank Feed widget or connecting your bank to Wiise, the issue may be related to the web browser you are using.

To rule out any browser-related problems, ensure that you are using a browser supported by Wiise:

  • Microsoft Edge
  • Google Chrome

6. Close other tabs

If you are trying to set up a bank account feed in two browser windows at the same time, you may encounter an error. Close both windows, open a new window, and try again.

7. Refresh your page

In your browser, simply select the Refresh button or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + R (Windows) or Cmd + R (Mac). This reloads the Wiise page and may trigger the system to fetch the latest bank feed data.

8. Check your internet connection

Ensure that your internet connection is stable, as poor connectivity can interrupt the bank feed update process.

9. Log out and log back in

If refreshing the page does not work, try logging out of Wiise and logging back in to reset the connection to your bank feeds and refresh your page.
