How to find the Wiise Reporting Pack
The new Wiise reports let you drill down further into amounts than you can in the standard reports. Their more user-friendly layout saves you time when exporting to Excel.
You can view a list of these reports from the Business Manager and Accountant role centres. Select Reports > Standard Reports > Wiise reporting pack.
You can also make it easier to find the reports by adding them to your Favourite Reports.
Here are the reports currently included in the Wiise Reporting Pack:
- Comparative Income Statement: An income statement report that compares any two chosen periods. The output includes the growth amount and percentage between the two periods.
- Income Statement by Period (Portrait): An income statement report (portrait version) that compares 4 periods and the total amount for those periods. The period length can be any length, i.e. weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.
- Income Statement by Period (Landscape): An income statement report (landscape version) that compares 12 periods and the total amount for those periods. The period length can be any length, i.e. weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.
- Income Statement by Period with Budget: An income statement report that outputs 4 periods and the total amount for those periods. Each period compares the amount and the pre-defined budget amount for each account. The period length can be any length, i.e. weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.
- Income Statement (Actual vs Budget): An income statement report that generates the actual amounts within a chosen period and compares them with a pre-defined budget in Wiise. The output includes the variance amount and percentage between the actual amount and the budget for the chosen period and compares with the year-to-date (YTD) amount and budget.
- Comparative Balance Sheet: A balance sheet report that compares the balance at any two chosen periods. The output includes the growth amount and percentage between the two periods.
- Balance Sheet by Period (Landscape): A balance sheet report (landscape version) that compares the balance at the end of a period (up to 12 periods). The period length can be any length, i.e. weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.
- Balance Sheet by Period (Portrait): A balance sheet report (portrait version) that compares the balance at the end of a period (up to 6 periods). The period length can be any length, i.e. weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.
- Balance Sheet by Period with Budget (Portrait): A balance sheet report (portrait version) that compares the balance at the end of three consecutive periods with the pre-defined budget allocated for each of those periods. The period length can be any length, i.e. weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.
- Balance Sheet (Actual vs Budget): A balance sheet report that shows the balance as of a specific date and compares it with a pre-defined budget in Wiise. The output includes the variance amount and percentage between the balance and the budget for the chosen date and compares with the year-end balance and budget.
How to reverse the sign on a Wiise Report
There are different ways to interpret an Income Statement or Profit and Loss Statement in Wiise. By default, when you run a report in Wiise, it will show sales or income accounts with a negative sign. But you might prefer to view sales or income as a positive figure.
So you can now choose which accounts you want to report on showing the opposite sign—with income accounts for example, the report created will reverse the sign for the specified accounts.
There are two ways you can pick which accounts you want to run as the opposite sign. You can either set this up in the Chart of Accounts page or the Account Card page.
Chart of Accounts page
- Open the Chart of Accounts page, then select Manage > Edit List.
- Select the line(s) for the account(s) reports you want to run as an opposite sign, then select the tick box under the column heading Show Opposite Sign on Wiise Report.
- If the Show Opposite Sign on Wiise Report column isn't visible, then you'll need to enable it:
- Select the Settings icon in the top right corner of the page, then select Personalise.
- Select the More drop-down option, then select + Field.
- Drag and drop the Show Opposite Sign on Wiise Report to the Chart of Accounts wherever you like on the Chart of Accounts page.
Account Card page
- Open an Account Card from the Chart of Accounts.
- On the right-hand side of the page, under the General category, find the Show Opposite Sign on Wiise Report sliding bar toggle. Enable this option for any accounts you want to run with an opposite sign.
